Good Deals in July

Sweltering heat can be alleviated by finding just the right air-conditioned store, and if you’re looking for a deal in that store - look for the following items in July -

BBQ grills - the sales are just before the 4th of July, but the clearance sales come shortly after.

Outdoor and patio furniture and accessories - retailers are scrambling to find “back to school space”.

Camping gear, tents, canopies, coolers, etc - most people associate camping with spring and summer, but here in the deep south, we know it’s also a fall/winter activity.  Take advantage of great pricing for family fun.

Summer clothing - now’s the time to buy those basics that won’t be out of season next year.  You’ll save enough to budget buying some trendy pieces in the summer of 2011.

Older model computers - major manufacturers will start introducing new models in August, and retailers are looking for shelf space for them.

Furniture - Retailers are looking to clear floorspace for the arrival of their fall inventory - you stand to reap the benefit of their sales.

Buying needed items during sales and clearances can really be a great deal.  Pay close attention to those “clearance” tags in stores - it might just free up some additional money in your family’s budget.
